Eugene has had a lot of success helping high school students getting accepted as college music majors (over 95% success rate). Eugene can analyze and correct production problems. Eugene's educational success comes from the lineage of his teachers. David Hite taught him the fundamentals of how to play correctly. Carmine Campione studied with Joe Allard for four years. Through the two of them and his other teachers, Eugene connects to a lineage including Bonade, Gigliotti, Drucker, Wright, Hasty, Mazzeo, Cioffi, Waln, Tabuteau, and others.
Eugene considers himself to be, besides an orchestra clarinetist, an orchestral woodwind doubler, (check out the "Experience" tab for literature performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra). In 2019, Eugene gave a well-attended lecture at the ICA Convention (International Clarinet Association) in Knoxville TN titled, "The Clarinetist as Orchestral Woodwind Doubler."
Besides helping high school students get into college or to prepare for recitals and auditions, Eugene can help the doubler or the retiree wanting to get back into playing, or anyone else who just wants to get better.
